Germany and United States Agree to Find Swift Solution to Trade Disputes..

The German government announced on Friday that newly elected Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz has agreed with U.S. President Donald Trump to find a "swift solution to the trade disputes between the United States and the European Union."

In an official statement, Berlin's government press office stated that Merz assured the American president during a phone call that "the United States remains an indispensable friend and partner for Germany."

The statement noted that both parties agreed on the need to continue exchanging views and arranging visits to reach a quick agreement on the trade disputes that erupted after Washington announced tariffs on goods imported from the European Union.

It's worth mentioning that the American market represents one of the most important export destinations for Germany's economy - the largest in Europe - particularly for automobiles, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
