Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan announced the commencement of major maintenance work on Abdali Road as part of a new package of contracts for the maintenance of highways and internal roads across the country. In a press statement on Friday, Al-Mashaan said that this work is part of 18 major projects covering six governorates, aiming to improve road efficiency and enhance safety levels in line with international engineering standards.She explained that radical and periodic maintenance work contributes to extending the lifespan of the infrastructure and reduces the need for road reconstruction in the future, which enhances sustainability and reduces costs in the long term. For his part, the supervisor of the Abdali Road project, Engineer Eid Al-Rashidi, said in a similar statement that the technical teams have begun laying a new layer of asphalt of the type (Type 3).Al-Rashidi pointed out that work is proceeding according to a carefully considered schedule and under direct supervision to ensure adherence to quality and approved specifications.
