The State of Kuwait, represented by Ahmed Al-Shalahi, Chairman of the Kuwait Air Sports Club, secured a three-year membership on the Board of Directors of the Asian Air Sports Federation (AASF) on Wednesday.
This came during the General Assembly meeting of the AASF in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which began yesterday and concludes tomorrow. During the session, the Executive Board members for the 2025-2027 term were elected, with the UAE’s Yousef Al-Hammadi as President and eight member countries representing Asia, including Kuwait.
Following his election, Al-Shalahi, who heads Kuwait’s delegation at the General Assembly, expressed his pride in Kuwait’s achievement in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA). He emphasized that this victory reflects Kuwait’s technical and administrative excellence in regional and international sports forums, particularly on the Asian stage.
Al-Shalahi stated that this success also underscores Kuwait’s esteemed reputation in both continental and international sports, highlighting the country’s commitment to contributing to the AASF’s decision-making and operations over the next four years.
On this occasion, Al-Shalahi extended his highest congratulations to Kuwait’s political leadership and wished continued progress and achievements for Kuwaiti sports in general, and air sports in particular, across all platforms.
