The Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in an event on sustainable development goals at the Kuwaiti Mission to the United Nations headquarters..

Her Excellency Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, participated in the event "Localizing Sustainable Development Goals: Empowering Communities for Impact" organized by the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City.

The event was attended by Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Tariq Al-Bannai and his spouse, along with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed and several members of diplomatic corps accredited to the United States. The gathering was held on the sidelines of the 18th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The event featured an open dialogue with the Deputy Secretary-General, focusing on her extensive experience and significant contributions to SDG-related issues, particularly women's empowerment and the rights of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, under the theme of "Leaving No One Behind."
