The State of Kuwait emphasized today (Thursday) the critical role of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in applying comprehensive safeguards under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), stressing its full and continued support for the Agency’s mandate to carry out its duties with efficiency and transparency.
The remarks were delivered by Ali Behbehani, Diplomatic Attaché of Kuwait’s delegation to international organizations in Vienna, during discussions on nuclear verification and safeguards agreements with Iran.
