The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Sunday that the State of Kuwait is following with grave concern the successive developments in the friendly Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly the recent attacks targeting several nuclear facilities - a dangerous escalation that threatens regional and international security and stability.
In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait's position as outlined in its June 13, 2025 statement, which condemned the violation of Iranian sovereignty and the breach of international laws and conventions. The Ministry called upon the international community and the UN Security Council to fulfill their responsibilities in halting these violations to preserve regional security and stability, emphasizing the Security Council's duty to maintain international peace and security.
The statement added: "Kuwait further calls for the complete and immediate cessation of all forms of escalation, a full halt to military operations, and the adoption of dialogue while exercising restraint. It urges redoubling efforts to find political solutions that would achieve the security and stability of the region."
