The State of Qatar expressed on Sunday its deep regret over the escalating situation regarding the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, stating it is closely monitoring developments in the region with grave concern.
In a statement, Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the urgent need to cease all military operations and immediately return to dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve outstanding issues.
The Ministry warned that the current dangerous tensions in the region could lead to catastrophic consequences at both regional and international levels. It expressed hope that all parties would exercise wisdom, restraint, and avoid escalation - a burden the region's conflict-weary populations cannot bear, given the tragic humanitarian impacts.
Qatar reaffirmed its full support for all regional and international efforts aimed at settling disputes and defusing crises through peaceful means to strengthen peace and stability in the region.
Earlier in the day, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American airstrikes against Iranian nuclear facilities had "successfully" achieved their objectives, while warning Tehran against targeting other sites if peace is not achieved.
