His Highness the Prime Minister chairs the ministerial committee meeting to review the implementation status of agreements and memoranda of understanding between Kuwait and China..

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Committee at Bayan Palace today to review the implementation progress of agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the governments of the State of Kuwait and the friendly People's Republic of China.

The 16th meeting examined the latest developments in implementing the development projects outlined in the MOUs between Kuwait and China, particularly cooperation on:

  • The Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port project

  • Electrical power grid systems

  • Renewable energy development

  • Low-carbon green waste recycling systems

  • Housing development

  • Environmental infrastructure for sewage treatment plants

  • Free zones and special economic areas

His Highness the Prime Minister directed the Ministerial Committee to:

  1. Closely monitor all aspects of major development projects' implementation

  2. Stay updated on recent developments

  3. Accelerate procedures and executive steps taken by concerned ministries and Chinese government entities

Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs and Committee Rapporteur Ambassador Sameeh Johar Hayat noted this meeting was part of periodic sessions tracking implementation progress, reaffirming commitment to take all necessary measures to expedite major development projects.
