Iranian authorities announced today the reopening of eastern airspace for domestic, international, and transit flights.

Majid Akhwan, spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, stated in an official release: "Airspace has been cleared for international overflights through Iranian territory, as well as domestic and international flights exclusively at airports located in the country's eastern region."

The spokesperson clarified this decision aims to gradually restore flight operations to normalcy while ensuring full compliance with aviation safety and security protocols. Approved airports include those serving eastern cities such as Mashhad International Airport.

This development follows recent hostilities that began on Friday the 13th of this month, when Tehran and other Iranian cities sustained extensive attacks by Israeli occupation forces, met with Iranian missile strikes on occupied territories.

The partial airspace reopening comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced Monday a "comprehensive ceasefire agreement" between Iran and Israel, which took effect Tuesday morning.
