The Peshmerga Command of Iraq's Kurdistan Region announced on Thursday the downing of a drone in the skies of Sulaymaniyah Province without any casualties reported.

Brigadier General Ahmed Lateef, spokesperson for the Peshmerga Command, stated that the drone had been spotted flying over the area near the headquarters of the 70th Forces in the Tasluja district of Sulaymaniyah city. He added that security forces successfully intercepted and brought down the aircraft without causing any damage.

It is worth noting that the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has recently witnessed several missile and drone attacks, with two drones being shot down in the same area earlier this month.
