U.S. Secretary of State Calls on Syrian Authorities to Hold Perpetrators of Minority Massacres Accountable..

 U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has called on Syrian authorities to prosecute those responsible for massacres against minority communities in Syria and bring them to justice.

In a Saturday post on X (formerly Twitter), Rubio stated:

  • "The United States stands with Syria's religious and ethnic minorities, and extends condolences to victims and their families."

  • Urged Syrian security forces to prevent ISIS or other extremists from entering Al-Suwayda province in southern Syria

  • Demanded action to halt violations against minority groups

Key Warning:
Rubio emphasized that "if Damascus wants any chance for a unified, inclusive Syria free from ISIS and Iranian control, it must help end this catastrophe."
