Iranian officials are discussing with their counterparts from Russia and China the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations..

Iran held discussions with Russia and China today to review the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

Iran’s official news agency reported that representatives of the three countries, meeting at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, exchanged views on recent updates regarding nuclear talks with the West and the lifting of sanctions on Iran.

The agency added that participants reaffirmed their governments' strong commitment to maintaining close consultations to coordinate positions and actions. They also agreed to continue holding such meetings at various levels in the coming weeks.

It is worth noting that Iran will participate in a joint meeting with the European Troika (Britain, France, and Germany) on Friday in Istanbul, Turkey, at the level of deputy foreign ministers.

Earlier this week, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a closed-circuit televised meeting with his counterparts from France, Britain, and Germany, called on them to abandon their policy of threats and pressure—including the threat to trigger the snapback mechanism to reimpose international sanctions on Tehran.
