A new phone called Keyphone is currently being launched as part of a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The device is based on a dedicated operating system based on the Open Source Android Project (AOSP 15), and is expected to offer a wide range of features such as calls, messages, photography, and note-taking.
However, the phone is not classified as a smartphone in the traditional sense, as it is specially designed to provide a comfortable typing experience, even with long texts, thanks to its physical keyboard. The Keyphone supports dual SIM cards and comes with 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card, allowing more files such as music to be stored.
