On the 35th anniversary of Iraq's brutal invasion of Kuwait, H.E. Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah stated that this occasion stands as a significant milestone commemorating the Kuwaiti people's unwavering determination and national unity in overcoming the most formidable challenges in the nation's history.
In her statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Minister emphasized: "This anniversary embodies the profound meanings of resilience and sacrifice demonstrated by the people of Kuwait in defense of their homeland, dignity, and freedom." She expressed pride in the Kuwaiti people's enduring unity and their steadfast commitment to safeguarding the nation's achievements.
Dr. Al-Huwailah paid tribute to Kuwait's martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation, affirming that their memory remains a guiding light that inspires future generations with the true meaning of patriotism and selflessness.
The Minister acknowledged the historic positions of brotherly and friendly nations that supported Kuwait during the invasion and contributed to its liberation, noting that these stances represent the highest forms of human and fraternal solidarity.
Concluding her statement, Dr. Al-Huwailah prayed to Almighty God to preserve Kuwait, maintaining its blessings of security, stability, and progress under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect and preserve them.
