Britain, Australia, Germany, Italy, and New Zealand reject the occupier's decision to launch a large-scale military operation in Gaza..

The foreign ministers of Britain, Australia, Germany, Italy, and New Zealand strongly condemned the Israeli occupation's decision to launch an additional large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement issued on Friday evening, the ministers stated that this decision "violates international humanitarian law, as it will exacerbate the catastrophic humanitarian situation, increase the risk of mass displacement of civilians, and endanger the lives of detainees." They reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the "two-state solution."

The statement called on all parties and the international community to "exert every effort to end this conflict through an immediate and permanent ceasefire"—one that enables the "large-scale, unimpeded, and urgent delivery of humanitarian aid" amid Gaza’s "worst-case famine scenario." It added that "any attempts at annexation or settlement expansion violate international law."

The ministers emphasized that the humanitarian situation in Gaza "remains catastrophic," urging the "Israeli occupation government" to urgently address obstacles in the recent registration system for international humanitarian organizations. This would ensure that "these critical humanitarian actors can resume their vital operations in line with humanitarian principles to reach civilians in need."

Earlier, the Israeli occupation’s mini-security and political cabinet ("the Cabinet") approved a proposal by its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to "reoccupy Gaza City and expand military operations across the remaining cities and refugee camps in the Strip."
