Traditional Embroidery Workshop at Bait Al-Sadu Introduces the Art of 'Naffash' Needlework..

As part of the 17th Cultural Summer Festival organized by Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts, and LettersBait Al-Sadu held a specialized workshop on Sunday titled "The Art of Naffash Needle Embroidery", conducted by trainer Anfal Al-Azmi with participation from heritage craft enthusiasts.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Technique Demonstrated: Traditional Naffash embroidery – a hand-weaving method creating raised patterns on cotton fabric

  • Applications: Embellishing bags, rugs, clothing, and artistic wall pieces

  • Skill Level: Beginner-friendly but requires practice for stitch precision

  • Hands-on Training: Participants practiced basic patterns to build foundational skills
