Director of the Youth Authority: Our new strategy emphasizes Kuwait's role in youth development and showcasing their capabilities..

Nasser Al-Sheikh, Acting Director of the General Youth Authority, stated that the launch of the Authority’s new strategy for the years (2025–2030) reaffirms Kuwait’s role in youth development and showcasing their capabilities and skills in building societies, as they are essential partners in nation-building.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of the strategy’s launch during the Authority’s celebration of International Youth Day—observed on Tuesday under the patronage and presence of Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi—Al-Sheikh added, "Youth are the core component of societies and the foundation upon which nations are built, highlighting their vital role in nation-building across all fields."

He noted that Kuwait places great emphasis on youth by organizing training programs, nurturing promising talents, and creating a conducive environment to unlock their creativity, innovation, and potential.

He explained that the United Nations designated August 12th of each year as International Youth Day to draw global attention to youth issues, celebrate their potential, and engage them in sustainable development goals. He stressed the importance of international cooperation in supporting these goals and strengthening partnerships with youth organizations.

Earlier in the day, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi launched the General Youth Authority’s new strategy for the years (2025–2030), which includes five developmental priorities in the fields of (leadership, employment, and entrepreneurship), (community participation), (culture, innovation, and creativity), (health and well-being), and (governance and resource development).
