France confirmed on Monday its continued support, coordinated with the United States, for the negotiation process among Syrian parties to achieve a peaceful and comprehensive political transition in the country.
In a statement, the French Foreign Ministry noted that "France, as pledged during the Paris Conference on Syria held last February, remains committed to investing in a transition that will build a free, united, sovereign, stable, and inclusive Syria, fully integrated into its regional environment."
The statement clarified that Paris and Washington maintain ongoing dialogue with all Syrian parties, including transitional authorities, and continue efforts to bridge differences between various factions.
It also emphasized that "integrating the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the Syrian army is a key issue for the stability of Syria and the region."
