This Friday morning, the fourth relief plane of Kuwait’s second airbridge took off from Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base, heading to El Arish International Airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The aircraft is carrying 40 tons of essential food supplies destined for urgent delivery to our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Dr. Khaled Al-Mugames, Chairman of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), emphasized that this flight is loaded with large quantities of humanitarian aid, prepared for entry into Gaza through Egyptian crossings in coordination with the Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
He added, “This mission extends Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to provide immediate assistance to nations affected by disasters and crises without hesitation.” The aid shipments were prepared in collaboration with Kuwaiti charitable organizations and the Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company to ensure quality and swift delivery.
Al-Mugames highlighted the close coordination between the KRCS, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense (represented by the Air Force), and Ministry of Social Affairs to facilitate relief flights under the airbridge initiative.
He expressed deep gratitude to all Kuwaiti authorities—particularly the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Social Affairs, as well as charitable organizations and the Kuwait Flour Mills Company—for their exceptional cooperation in streamlining aid delivery. He reaffirmed that the KRCS remains unwavering in its humanitarian duty and will continue intensifying relief efforts to support affected populations.
Since its launch last Sunday, the Kuwaiti airbridge in support of Gaza has successfully dispatched four relief planes, transporting dozens of tons of food supplies as part of an urgent national campaign to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza.
