Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, announced the launch of a set of new conference call features in the app, in a step that enhances the use of the application in work environments, most notably the ability to schedule conference calls.

Starting today, users can schedule calls via the Calls tab by pressing the Plus + button and choosing to schedule a call, with the ability to send invitations to colleagues or friends.

The same tab allows you to keep track of upcoming appointments, view the list of attendees, and get links to calls, as the link creator receives notifications when a participant joins, with the ability to add the appointment to the calendar apps built into the devices. Each member gets an alert when the meeting starts time.
