Kuwait Airways and Kuwait Telecommunications Company (STC) have signed a cooperation protocol to enhance collaboration in several fields, primarily focusing on developing the telecommunications and aviation sectors, in addition to exchanging integrated and innovative services that serve mutual interests and enhance the customer experience for both parties.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Kuwait Television on Saturday, Chairman of Kuwait Airways’ Board of Directors, Abdulmohsen Al-Fagaan, stated that signing the protocol with STC is part of Kuwait Airways’ efforts to highlight its pivotal role in developing bilateral partnerships with both public and private sectors, contributing to the country's economic benefit.
Al-Fagaan added that his company looks forward to elevating the scope of cooperation through the signing of this protocol, opening new horizons between the two parties in technology, air transport, telecommunications, information technology, and artificial intelligence applications.
He explained that the protocol includes an agreement to exchange technical expertise in information technology, develop digital systems, and advanced telecommunications solutions, leveraging STC's extensive experience by training a number of Kuwait Airways employees and qualifying them to raise operational efficiency and improve service quality.
He also mentioned that the protocol includes an agreement to establish a mechanism allowing the exchange of a number of shared services, enabling customers of both companies to benefit from exclusive advantages and services, particularly Kuwait Airways’ "Oasis Club" card, allowing STC customers to issue the "Oasis" card under this agreement.
He emphasized that the signing of the protocol stems from the company's belief in the importance of continuously developing its sectors, especially the telecommunications sector, in which STC excels.
In turn, STC’s Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Mutez Al-Durab, told KUNA that signing the cooperation protocol with Kuwait Airways represents a significant step towards enhancing digital transformation in Kuwait.
He stressed that "this partnership embodies our vision of building bridges between vital sectors and reflects STC’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that meet customer aspirations."
