US stock indices rose at the close of trading on Wall Street on Tuesday, amid investor anticipation for the quarterly earnings results of the tech giant NVIDIA.

At the end of the session, the broad market index S&P 500 rose by 26.62 points, or 0.41% of its value; the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 135.60 points, or about 0.30% of its value; and the Nasdaq Composite index rose by 94.98 points, a gain of 0.44% of its value.

According to the CNBC news network, investors are looking forward to NVIDIA's anticipated earnings report, scheduled for release tomorrow, Wednesday, which could support the massive market-cap technology sector after its recent decline.
