A report from Bloomberg revealed that Microsoft has sought help from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to counter and organize the growing protests by its employees against the company's business ties with Israel against the backdrop of the war in Gaza.

According to the report, this security cooperation between Microsoft and the FBI began after protesters (including employees) "spoiled" an event celebrating the company's 50th anniversary, following which Microsoft reached out to the FBI and local law enforcement, asking them for any intelligence about pro-Palestinian protests that might target the company or its headquarters.
