The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected Google's appeal in the case related to opening the Play Store to broader competition, confirming previous court rulings issued in 2023 and 2024 in favor of Epic Games.
The decision comes after the 9th U.S. Court of Appeals rejected Google's request last August, prompting the company to turn to the Supreme Court as a last resort, but the final ruling came against it.Under this decision, Google is obliged to implement all measures aimed at making the Play Store and in-app payment systems more open to competition, starting October 22.
