Sora app surpasses 1 million downloads faster than ChatGPT..

Sora reaches 1 million downloads in less than 5 days in North America alone.

The app allows you to create AI-generated videos in a TikTok-like style. Criticism is mounting over the appearance of copyright-infringing content and well-known figures.


OpenAI's Sora app has made a breakthrough after surpassing more than a million downloads in less than five days of launch, according to Bill Peebles, the project's head of work.

This rate made the app even outpace ChatGPT's spread in its early days, even though its launch was limited to North America and only on the invitation system.

Sora is based on an experience similar to TikTok, but it differs from it in that all the clips in it are generated by artificial intelligence through the Sora 2 model.

A user can create a short video by simply typing in a text description, while Cameo offers the ability to produce clips featuring users' faces or people who have agreed to share their features on the platform.
