The first phones with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor started hitting the market last month after its official announcement, however leaks have already started revealing the next generation of this flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

Qualcomm is expected to unveil the new processor in September 2026, with reports suggesting that it will be made with TSMC's 2nm technology, a move that will allow significant improvements in power efficiency and processing performance compared to the previous generation.
