ORA Technologies Acquires Cathedis in Morocco's First Locally Funded Startup Acquisition..

Morocco's ORA Technologies and the Azur Innovation Fund have acquired Cathedis, in the first merger between Moroccan startups fully funded with local capital.

The deal solidifies ORA's position as a key player in Morocco's e-commerce ecosystem and digital economy, by integrating Fintech, Foodtech and logistics.Founded in 2023 by Omar Alami, ORA offers a multi-service app that includes P2P transfers, e-commerce, on-demand services, chat, social networking, and a digital wallet that will be launched soon.


In July of this year, ORA closed its $7.5 million Series A funding round led by the Azur Innovation Fund.

In a new milestone in Morocco's startup ecosystem, ORA Technologies and Azur Innovation Fund have announced the joint acquisition of Cathedis, one of the leading national companies in e-commerce logistics and last-mile delivery.

The deal marks the first merger between Moroccan startups, fully funded by local capital, and strengthens ORA's position as a pivotal player in Morocco's e-commerce landscape and digital economy, thanks to its unique value proposition in the market.

The process also underscores ORRA's ambitious strategy to build an integrated digital ecosystem that includes fintechs, food technologies, and e-commerce logistics.
