Meta today officially launched the full WhatsApp app for Apple Watches, in a move that enhances the communication experience across wearables, allowing users to interact with conversations directly from their watches without having to rely on their phones.
The new app offers a range of long-awaited features, including full-length previews of messages without shortcuts, the ability to reply with emojis, and the ability to record and send voice messages directly from the watch. The app also supports call notifications with caller details, as well as clearly displaying photos and stickers, and making a larger part of the conversation history available on the watch screen.
Meta noted in an official statement that this release is just the beginning of improving the WhatsApp experience in the Apple Watch, stressing that additional features will be rolled out in the coming months.
