Amazon has announced the launch of its new store, Amazon Bazaar, an independent shopping platform dedicated to low-priced products, available in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and a number of other global markets.
Amazon provides an app separate from Amazon's main app called Amazon Bazaar, offering a wide range of goods at prices starting at just about $2, most of which do not exceed ten dollars.
The new app is now available for Android and iOS in the aforementioned Arab countries, as well as Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Nigeria, and will later expand to additional markets in the coming months, according to the company.
Last year, Amazon launched Amazon Haul, a rival platform for Shein and Temu stores, within its main site and app in some countries. In other markets, the company has also used the Bazaar name to market for low-priced products within its main app, such as Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, stressing that the name difference comes to adapt to local language and culture preferences.
