Apple postpones surprise: MacBook Pro with M6 processor will retain its old design without an OLED display..

Apple is preparing to launch MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors in early 2026, along with a MacBook Air version powered by the M5 core processor.

While these devices will offer a clear improvement in performance, they are not expected to see any major design changes compared to previous generations.

The expected radical change will be in the MacBook Pro series, which will run on Apple M6 processors. In mid-October 2025, Mark Gurman revealed that MacBook Pros with an M6 processor may come with a touch-enabled OLED display, with a slimmer design, and possibly incorporate the Dynamic Island feature to remove the notch found in modern models.
