Fitbit has introduced a comprehensive redesign of its Android app, with the integration of Material 3 Expressive, along with an AI-powered health trainer.
The update includes a shorter bottom bar, which allows any of the four tabs to drag the screen to sync with your Pixel watch or Fitbit, resulting in a load indicator containing the new Material 3 Expressive shapes. After you're done, the Fitbit Premium logo disappears from the app bar and a linear progress indicator appears.
Material 3 Expressive shapes are also used to display the check mark when completing a daily goal. All metrics display is based on a floating toolbar with an action button to switch time periods, such as day, week, month, three months, and year.
Some statistics such as steps and sleep are shown in a concise way, while others are presented in full. Each capsule-shaped bar is accompanied by a floating button to launch the personal trainer.
