Goodbye to Blue Links: Google Plans Radical Changes to Its Search Engine by 2025...

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, has unveiled ambitious plans to make its renowned search engine more intelligent, stating that 2025 will be one of the most significant years in terms of search innovations.

This came during the recent announcement of the company's financial results, where Pichai discussed Google's AI journey, which began with the AI-powered search feature, AI Overviews, which has transformed how information is presented to users.

Pichai explained that Google is working on integrating AI technologies from its subsidiary, DeepMind, into the search engine, making it more like a smart personal assistant capable of browsing the internet, analyzing pages, and providing precise answers, rather than just displaying the usual 10 blue links.

 Project Astra

Pichai pointed out that Project Astra, a multimodal AI system from DeepMind, could play a key role in these transformations. This highly anticipated project is notable for its ability to analyze videos, live images, and respond to related questions in real-time, potentially paving the way for its use in devices like the futuristic smart glasses Google is developing.
