Firefox declares war on tracking. New feature reduces digital footprint by 70%..

Mozilla has launched a new update to the Firefox browser that aims to enhance users' privacy by reducing the ability to track websites through what is known as digital fingerprinting, a technology that relies on collecting accurate data on device and browser specifications to identify the user even during indirect browsing.

According to a statement from Mozilla, the new protection system can reduce the number of users whose digital fingerprints can be identified by up to 70%, marking a major advance in the field of combating stealth tracking that often cannot be prevented via traditional cookie settings.Enhanced

Tracking Protection is part of the Firefox 145 version of the browser, and is currently available in Private Browsing and ETP Strict Mode, and is scheduled to expand to all browsing modes later.
