Unisoc has quietly launched the new T9300 5G chip, successor to last year's T8300. The chip is based on an octa-core design with a Cortex-A78 core for performance at up to 2.4GHz, powered by Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency.
The company promises a 38% improvement in energy efficiency compared to the previous generation. The chip scores around 550,000 points on the AnTuTu V10, up slightly from the T8300's 515,000 points, and features a dual-core Mali-G57 GPU, and supports LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage. As far as the screen is concerned, the chip supports FHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 144Hz or a 1.5K resolution with 90Hz, and handles HDR10+ content.
