Ookla, a network testing company that owns Speedtest, has conducted a new study to compare network speeds between the iPhone 17 and the latest flagship Android phones. The study relied on testing Apple's new N1 chip against Qualcomm, Broadcom, and MediaTek chipsets.
The N1 is the first SIM card developed entirely by Apple, and it debuted with the iPhone 17 series, with built-in support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 technologies.
Based on Speedtest data based on user measurements, the results showed an improvement of nearly 40% compared to the iPhone 16 that relies on the Broadcom chip.
