Nintendo is preparing to launch its highly anticipated gaming console, the Switch 2, in 2025, aiming to avoid any supply shortages at launch.

During tاe recent earnings call, Shuntaro Furukawa, the company's president, revealed that Nintendo is making bold decisions regarding production to meet the expected high demand.

Furukawa stated, "We are taking risks in production to meet as much demand as possible," referring to the company's readiness to address potential supply challenges.

This approach follows the massive success of the original Nintendo Switch, which launched in 2017. High demand at the time led to stock shortages, preventing the console from reaching all users immediately. Nintendo is now seeking to avoid this issue with the release of the Switch 2.

Although details about the production of the Switch 2 have not yet been revealed, Furukawa confirmed that the company will assess consumer interest following the Nintendo Direct event dedicated to the console on April 2.

He also explained that Nintendo is aware of the difficulty in ramping up production quickly but will leverage its past experiences to act as swiftly as possible when needed.
