Microsoft is developing a new feature called Cloud-Initiated Driver Recovery, which allows the system to replace defective drivers installed through Windows Updates with previous stable versions that functioned normally on the device.

The new mechanism relies on monitoring the quality of drivers during Microsoft's evaluation process. If the company detects a problematic driver, it can send a cloud-based restore command to automatically remove and replace it without requiring user intervention or waiting for a new update from the device manufacturer.
