The United States has banned drones from flying around stadiums during the 2026 World

Cup, as well as over celebratory events held on the sidelines of the finals, which begin on June 11, authorities announced on Thursday.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that on match days, all aerial operations, including drones, will be prohibited within a 4.8-kilometer radius and at an altitude of up to 900 meters around the 11 stadiums hosting the matches, unless authorized by air traffic control.

The no-fly zone around fan events in the host cities will be 1.8 kilometers and 300 meters.
