Dr. Ahmed Al-Foudari, Head of the Ophthalmology Departments Council at the Ministry of Health, announced the launch of the 24th Kuwait Conference on Ophthalmology and Eye Surgery, which will take place from February 20 to 22 under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, and with international participation.  

In a press statement on Sunday, Dr. Al-Foudari stated that the conference serves as an exceptional scientific platform aimed at highlighting the latest advancements in ophthalmology and eye surgery, as well as enhancing medical expertise through over 39 scientific lectures and 13 specialized workshops designed to equip doctors and specialists with new skills.  

He explained that the conference reflects Kuwait's commitment to leadership in the field of healthcare, bringing together more than 60 experts from foreign, Gulf, and Arab countries to discuss the latest treatments and surgical techniques for eye diseases.  

Dr. Al-Foudari emphasized that the conference is an opportunity to strengthen regional and international cooperation, exchange expertise, and build scientific and medical partnerships that contribute to the development of healthcare services in Kuwait and the region. He reaffirmed the commitment to keeping pace with advancements in this vital specialty and achieving a qualitative leap in the field of ophthalmology and eye surgery in the country.
