The Kuwait Water Association launched today, Tuesday, the "Fourth Kuwaiti-Arab Youth Forum" under the slogan "Leadership and Innovation in Water Efficiency," in collaboration with the Arab Planning Institute and under the patronage of the Public Authority for Youth. The forum will continue for three days.
During the opening ceremony, the association’s president, Dr. Saleh Al-Muzaini, stated in his speech that water issues require serious efforts to preserve this vital resource and implement measures to sustain it and prevent its waste. He explained that the association has implemented initiatives and projects aimed at conserving water and developing innovative and creative solutions to address future water challenges.
Al-Muzaini mentioned that the forum highlights advanced youth ideas, strategies, and technologies to achieve water efficiency and tackle future challenges. It also showcases ideas and initiatives aimed at ensuring water sustainability and realizing the vision of "Kuwait 2035."
He emphasized the importance of exchanging information on the fundamentals of water resource conservation, showcasing modern technologies, and fostering scientific and technical cooperation among research and technical institutions to overcome water challenges. He also stressed the need to benefit from Arab and international experiences, transfer technology, and present the best youth-led scientific initiatives and practices.
On his part, Karim Darwish, the head of the administrative body at the Arab Planning Institute, stated in a similar speech that the forum is part of the constructive and ongoing cooperation between the institute and the association, reflecting their shared interest in comprehensive and sustainable development issues.
He emphasized the importance of the practical experiences that participants will present at the forum, highlighting the need to explore capabilities and adopt innovative and creative youth initiatives, transforming them into purposeful developmental projects that enhance water efficiency.
Darwish added that the institute’s focus on youth has motivated it in recent years to design a comprehensive and unique program to prepare young leaders and implement several initiatives related to entrepreneurship at the Arab level. These efforts aim to enhance the entrepreneurial, innovative, and creative capacities of youth, contributing to turning ideas into real projects that promote a shift toward self-employment.
