The Deputy Minister of Interior chaired a meeting to discuss the final preparations for securing the celebrations of the national holidays..

On Thursday, Deputy Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, chaired a security meeting attended by the Assistant Undersecretaries for Field Security Sectors to discuss the final preparations for securing the celebrations of the national holidays for the year 2025. 

In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior stated that Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, along with his wishes for their success and continued diligent work. He urged them to exert more effort and dedication to ensure that this year's national celebrations are presented in a dignified and civilized manner.

According to the statement, Sheikh Salem Nawaf emphasized the necessity for security leaders to be present in the field to oversee and follow up on the outlined plans. He stressed the importance of full readiness among security personnel to enforce the rule of law and firmly address any negative behaviors, particularly water splashing, climbing onto vehicle roofs, leaning out of windows, sitting on vehicle hoods, obstructing traffic, parking in prohibited areas or spots reserved for people with disabilities, organizing illegal races, and engaging in reckless or negligent behavior, including speeding.

He also highlighted the need for security personnel to maintain a refined demeanor, patience, and initiative, providing humanitarian assistance to the public, especially individuals with disabilities and the elderly. He affirmed the commitment to translating security measures into practical actions to ensure the safety and security of everyone.

Sheikh Salem Nawaf pointed out that the celebrations of the National Day and Liberation Day are a sincere expression of the citizens' joy. He called for expressing these sentiments in a manner consistent with Kuwait's civilized and noble traditions, reflecting feelings of love, pride, and genuine belonging to the nation.

Additionally, Sheikh Salem Nawaf reviewed with the Assistant Undersecretaries the plans for precautionary security measures and the level of coordination and integration with the participating sectors. He emphasized the importance of working as one team to extend the umbrella of security and safety.
