Samsung expanded the A-Series with the launch of its new Galaxy A26 5G phone, which comes with noticeable upgrades compared to its predecessor Galaxy A25 5G, especially in terms of processor, screen and overall design. The phone is thinner than before, at only 7.7mm thick, making it sleeker and easier to carry.
Samsung introduced in this version a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, which is slightly larger than the 6.5-inch screen in the A25 5G. The screen comes with a resolution of 2340 1080p, with a refresh rate of 120Hz and brightness of up to 1000 nits.
As for the dimensions of the device, it is 164 77.5 7.7 mm, which is relatively slimmer compared to its predecessor, which came with dimensions of 161 76.5 8.3 mm. The phone weighs about 200 grams, making it relatively light for its class.
The phone is powered by an Exynos 1380 processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, with the ability to expand up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The phone runs on Android 15-based One UI 7, with Samsung promising to introduce 4 major updates for Android (Android 16, 17, 18 and 19), along with 5 years of security updates until the early 2030s.
