Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy A56 smartphone, which brings with it 45W wired charging support for the first time in the A series, four years after the company adopted this rate in its flagship devices.
The phone also features a new Exynos 1580 processor, and a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with thinner bezels on all sides, enhancing the viewing experience.
The phone came in a thinner design than its predecessor, at 7.4 mm thick, with a redesigned camera island that does not have prominent lenses. Although the Exynos 1580 was unveiled in October, the Galaxy A56 is the first phone to use it.
The new processor provides significant performance improvements compared to the A55, where the CPU speed reaches 2.9 GHz, while the GPU is based on the AMD architecture with WGP 2x, and the artificial intelligence NPU comes at a rate of 14.7 trillion operations per second, which increases performance by 37% compared to the previous generation.
Despite expectations of a 12GB version of RAM, the phone only comes with an 8GB capacity.
The screen has received notable improvements, with a maximum brightness of 1900 nits, with a brightness of 1200 nits in HBM mode.
The display maintains FHD+ resolution, with Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, the same glass used on the back of the phone, and an aluminum frame for added durability.
