The Ministry of Finance announced today, Tuesday, that it has started sending notifications through the (Sahl) application to the occupants of the Dukhan West chalets, instructing them to vacate and hand over the chalets to the Ministry by no later than March 31, 2025.  

The Ministry added in a press statement that "this comes in response to a letter from the Kuwait Municipality, which was received by the Ministry of Finance in January of last year, and which included Municipal Council Resolution No. (M B / F 6 / 164 / 06 / 2024 D 3) regarding the Council's approval to allocate the site extending from the boundaries of the Dukhan West station to the boundaries of the Jahra Natural Reserve for the implementation of the Jahra Waterfront Project (the Corniche)."  

The Ministry clarified that it will work on vacating 116 chalets and handing them over to the Kuwait Municipality immediately after completing the procedures for terminating all contracts with the chalet occupants.
