The Kuwait Stock Exchange closed its trading session today, Thursday, with its general index declining by 46.87 points, a decrease of 0.57 percent, reaching a level of 8,119.35 points. A total of 344.3 million shares were traded through 18,215 cash transactions, with a value of 96.6 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 297.5 million US dollars).


The Main Market Index decreased by 23.41 points, a decline of 0.31 percent, reaching a level of 7,544.88 points. This was achieved through the trading of 184.4 million shares via 7,568 cash transactions, with a value of 35.9 million dinars (approximately 110.5 million US dollars).


Similarly, the Premier Market Index fell by 55.09 points, a decrease of 0.63 percent, reaching a level of 8,663.67 points. This was driven by the trading of 159.9 million shares through 10,647 transactions, with a value of 60.6 million dinars (approximately 186.6 million US dollars).


In parallel, the (Main 50) Index declined by 28.81 points, a drop of 0.39 percent, reaching a level of 7,364.12 points. This was achieved through the trading of 162.5 million shares via 6,078 cash transactions, with a value of 33.9 million dinars (approximately 104.4 million US dollars).


Among the companies, (A Real Estate), (Emirates), (Hayat Communications), and (Seven) were the top gainers, while (Al-Khaleej), (Al-Deera), (KAMCO), and (Mashare) were the top decliners.
