Kuwait Stock Exchange closes trading with its general index down by 77.47 points..

The Kuwait Stock Exchange concluded its trading session today, Sunday, with its general index declining by 77.47 points, a decrease of 0.95 percent, to reach 8,041.88 points. A total of 347.3 million shares were traded through 13,547 cash transactions, amounting to 137.3 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately 533.7 million US dollars).


The Main Market Index dropped by 25.73 points, or 0.34 percent, to settle at 7,519.15 points, with 266.8 million shares traded through 7,299 cash transactions valued at 106.8 million dinars (approximately 328.9 million US dollars).


Similarly, the Premier Market Index fell by 94.35 points, or 1.09 percent, to reach 8,569.32 points, with 80.4 million shares traded through 6,248 transactions worth 30.4 million dinars (approximately 93.6 million US dollars).


In parallel, the (Main 50) Index decreased by 22.33 points, or 0.30 percent, to settle at 7,341.79 points, with 250.7 million shares traded through 5,984 cash transactions valued at 105 million dinars (approximately 323.4 million US dollars).


Among the companies, (First Fuel), (Marakez), (Al-Anaam Systems), and (Real Estate) were the top gainers, while (Kamco), (Beit Energy), (Equipment), and (Metals) were the top decliners.
