Kazma Handball Club defeated their counterpart, Al-Fahaheel, with a score of (33-28) today, Saturday, while Kuwait Club secured a victory over Khaitan with a score of (34-27). These matches were part of the preliminary handball league for the current 2024-2025 season, which was postponed for both Kuwait and Kazma clubs due to their participation in the 27th Asian Club Championship, qualifying for the World Championship (Super Globe 2025), held last November in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
At the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, Kazma achieved a hard-fought victory over Al-Fahaheel with a score of (33-28). The first half ended in a tie (14-14), but in the second half, Kazma regained their momentum and widened the goal difference to secure an important win.
In the second match, Kuwait defeated their counterpart, Khaitan, with a score of (27-34). Kuwait ended the first half with a narrow lead (15-13), and in the second half, the experience of Kuwait's players allowed them to extend the goal difference against Khaitan, securing another victory that reaffirmed their lead in the league.
With today's matches, the postponed games for both Kuwait and Kazma have concluded. The general handball league will resume on March 21 with the 12th round, where Al-Salibikhat will face Al-Fahaheel, and Al-Qrain will meet Al-Nasr in the opening matches of the round.
