Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Saneet issued a ministerial decision to add and approve new electronic means as official methods for the electronic publication of lawsuit notices, judgments, orders, and other judicial documents, in accordance with the Civil and Commercial Procedures Law issued by Decree-Law No. 38 of 1980. This aims to facilitate and expedite notification procedures and ensure that notifications reach the intended recipients through reliable and secure methods.
The Ministry of Justice stated in a press release that, according to Decision No. 125 of 2025, which represents a step toward modernizing the judicial system and enhancing digital transformation, electronic notifications will now produce their effects through the "My Identity" app, the "Sehl" app, the "Sehl Business" app, email registered with the Public Authority for Civil Information, or documented during litigation stages, web services, and text messages.
The Ministry added that this decision will contribute to reducing the time required to complete notification procedures compared to traditional paper-based notifications and will enhance the reliability of notifications by relying on secure electronic systems, making it easier to deliver notifications to the intended recipients in verifiable ways.
The Ministry noted that this decision will come into effect starting from the first day of the month following its publication in the Official Gazette.
