The Kuwait Red Crescent Society announced today, Thursday, the distribution of 1,300 food baskets to needy families registered in the society's records on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Director General of the Society, Fawaz Al-Marzouqi, confirmed to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the Society's commitment to providing for the needs of families, which contributes to enhancing the spirit of social solidarity among community members, alleviating their financial burdens, and meeting their food requirements during this blessed month.
Al-Marzouqi stated that this initiative is an extension of the Red Crescent's social responsibility program during Ramadan and reflects the Society's humanitarian role at the local level. He emphasized their commitment to supporting the community and continuing to work towards making a positive difference.
He explained that the food basket includes various family necessities such as rice, sugar, dates, cooking oil, chicken, and canned goods, sufficient for one month.
He expressed gratitude to the private sector, banks, and donors who contributed through the Society, praising the efforts and dedication of volunteers in distributing aid and serving the community.
