"Qarqiaan" is a Ramadan tradition celebrated by schools in Kuwait to preserve and reinforce the cultural heritage..

Today, Thursday, schools under the Ministry of Education celebrated "Qarqiaan," one of the most important traditional Kuwaiti Ramadan festivities. During the celebration, children wore vibrant and beautifully designed traditional costumes specially prepared for this occasion.

"Qarqiaan" is a cultural and social heritage tradition through which the Ministry of Education's schools aim to instill authentic heritage in the memory of younger generations and bring joy to students by distributing sweets.

The term "Qarqiaan" in the Kuwaiti dialect derives from the sound of drumbeats ("qarqa'ah") used by children to celebrate this occasion.
